A Short Note About Notes…

…by which, of course, I mean musical notes.

Next Sunday I’ll be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where the Alamo Metro Chorus is hosting its fundraising concert. By way of exposition, AMC is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, and is dedicated to sharing the art and beauty of barbershop music. I’ve enjoyed AMC’s performances before (including an appearance by its Essence Quartet at Leon Valley’s July 4 celebration), and as I love barbershop music, they have a special appeal for me.

Fiesta AMC Style - FlyerAnd Fiesta….AMC Style promises to be a lot of fun. Performances by area barbershop quartets (including SoundWise Quartet, Essence Quartet, Fourmost Quartet, Head over Heels Quartet, and The Marcsmen). Dance performances by Semeneya/NRG and Urban-15. Food trucks from Cheesy Jane’s and Mr. Meximum. And Nikki Young as MC for it all.

It’s going to be a great show, and tickets are just $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under. The proceeds will help fund AMC’s upcoming trip to the Harmony Classic competition in Baltimore.

Seating is limited, so if you’d like to be there with us, call (210) 514-0976 today and get your tickets.

If you can’t make it, I hope you’ll spread the word. Tell your friends. Tell your family. Share it. Tweet it. Pin it. Gram it (or whatever the verb is for Instagram). Because you really will want to be there for this one. Trust me on this.

Thanks as always for following along, and supporting these adventures. Hope to see you next week!
