One of the things I love about walking in the realm of the arts is the chance I have to work on stories that can make a difference. It’s a dream I’ve had for a while.
Soon I’ll get to share another one of those stories.
The film’s called Ableism. Will Shipley wrote and directed, Nikki produced, I served as production manager.
We began and completed principal photography today, at three locations here in San Antonio. We have a great cast: Dane Berkshire, Marc Daratt, Jason Scarbrough, Collin Salazar, and Jacob Guillot as our leading man.
I really can’t wait for you to meet Jacob. I really can’t wait for you to see this film. Will has crafted the kind of story that could change minds, affect hearts, change the way we think about people with special needs.
It’s the kind of story I’m proud to be a part of.
Once the film’s ready, I’ll write again about what Ableism is and how it came to be. I promise you, the tale behind the film is just as powerful as the tale in the film.
Until then, thank you for your support.
Fight the good fight…
