And I’m back with another Signal Boost.
This time I’m spreading the word for my friend Janneke Zander. The Zanders have been family friends for near ages (and of course they were all heavily involved in Sarah’s wedding), and to a one, they’re among the most generous people I know.
In keeping with that generous spirit, Mrs. Zander is heavily involved with Jireh House, a local ministry dedicated to improving the lives of residents in a local housing project. This is the kind of ministry that only begins with prayer – in their own words,
Dedicated volunteers work daily to help Jireh House provide services in three distinct areas: food, clothing, and education. Additionally, Jireh House provides spiritual support through prayer and by connecting individuals and families to caring Christian communities.
I first heard of Jireh House last year, during the massive fundraising event The Big Give. I was happy to support them then, and I’m happy to support them now.
Which brings us to Saturday, January 30, when the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center (723 S. Brazos St., San Antonio, TX 78207) will host a benefit concert for the organization, with performances by Tish Hinojosa and friends. There will be a silent auction as well, and proceeds will help Jireh House continue its mission.
The fun starts at 6:00pm. Tickets are $25.00, and you can buy them at the door or in advance (by calling 210-264-2573).
If you can’t be there in person, you can always donate to Jireh House at their website. And you can help spread the word by telling your friends and family and co-workersers and everyone.
Thanks as always for your support!
